Hi Lonnie, just my $0.02 worth, but I don't think you could substitute pressure washing for sandblasting in nearly any application. An exception to this may be a comparison of the most heavy duty commercial pressure washers compared head-to-head with the cheapest, lightest-duty sand blasters with an inadeqate home-owners compressor. Pressure washing with a grease-cutting solution would be great for a pre-sandblasting treatment. You can waste a lot of time, sand, and air compressor life trying to sandblast grease. I would not use the pressure washer for a post-sandblasting cleaner since once sandblasted, the bare metal is so prone to immediate oxidation. Instead I've used just compressed air to get the leftover sand out of all the hidden spots, and only a bare metal chemical treatment to clean the surfaces. A good pressure washer does have a bunch of good uses though. Its one of those tools that before buying, consider the scenarios where a rental may be more cost effective. I'm sure you'll get other (probably more experienced) opinions! Good Luck, Bruce
