Pressure washers vs sandblasters

I was out at Sam's Club a few nights ago looking at a few pressure washer systems. The bottom line model was electric and put out about 1600 psi as I remember. The top of the line was a Honda-powered gas job that put out about 2400 psi. I was wondering if this might be enought to strip rust off of a frame. It would have the advantage of not leaving residual sand in the cracks before painting. If not, it would probably be good for getting the sand off after sandblasting. Anyone try this? I am thinking it would also be good for getting the oil/gunk off of the undercarrige and the driveway.

The nice one costs $500 so I am compiling a list of possible uses before buying one of these.

Thanks
Lonnie
