I retired from Ca. Dept. of Forestry. Basically, I lost my lungs at a dump fire back in the days of two B.A.'s per engine. I let my firefighters have the airpacks.
What I was responding to is the comment someone made about civilians not knowing the cameraderie. For the most part, that is correct. For the most part "civilians" are simple, self-indulgent shits. To you Vets out there...thank you. You have my heart-felt gratitude and I KNOW the price you paid (I was a military brat)
