my Old FISK tire book shows both
5.50 & 6.00 x 20 tires used on early
trucks
BE VERY CAREFULL with OLD multi piece wheels
Budd Wheels are not bad but the other types
can be like HE grenades 70 year old rusty
(or rust damaged) fatigued metal under pressure is not something to fool with and
if any tire size or type had been better suited for all terain/conditions on WW2 trucks (and the civ FFs) then thats what the military would have used - unlimited budget to design the best tire & wheel combo
result = 9.00x16 NDT on 6.50x16 wheel
