Is this a full synchro box (as I suspect the "4" as the second number designates) or just 2,3&4 (like the 435 4 '3' 5) or just two like the 420 (4 '2' 0). Are the 1st and 2nd ratios higher or lower than the 435 used in the W200's? I understand that there were two 435's one for 2x4's and one for the 4x4's and the 4x4's had a lower first gear. I know I pulled several apart and I would believe that to be the case since the low was much larger in the box out of the 4x4 than the one in the 4x2. A little more help? Would this be a good tranny for a daily driver and heavy duty off roading or should I keep my 435? If is is a full synchro, will the parts change over to the 435 to give me synchro in low also?
