If you increase tire size, that will increase road speed for a given RPM.

By the way I looked in my dealer book, and the standard tire size for your 59 W200 with dual rear wheels and 16" rims was 7.00 16.

7.50 16 was only listed as an option for the single wheel 16" rims.

I would guess this would have required different spedo gears, so maybe your truck was not a factory dual wheel truck?

What are the date codes on your rims?

If the standard tire for duals was the 7.00 16", there is no way for me to know if 7.50 16s will rub together on the rear.

Anybody have any experiance with this?

Eric
