Thanks jeff for help everything helps! What i we have been running intois most places treat us like crackheads for trying to doitourselves, especially when asking for parts books or sources of parts aftermarket new surplus etc. I ahve called about 15 big truck rebuilders, mostly same line, no, we donot care to help, or we will sell you new nv4500 for 2500$ or i don't think parts available, few that have helped say that np540 is dead due to no inputs shafts available or gears to build one fron 5 direct, could you post pictures of u 540 so john &i can down load phot ot take to junkyard for id, prob a lot of sleeper trans if could show to help photos and shift patterns, input shaft serial/part numbers to put on hotline, have you seen hotline for trucks trans parts on web?
