John, 35 post above you is peter sprouce Parts for sale, he has the dodge 5speed direct, i sugest you buy it ($200) or get the serial number to me and i will try to see whats is needed to buy 5 gear overdrive&how much, 3053a is long, has been used in three different set up i have found, m37 with 6.5 diesel(juan chile), M715 with tall deck 427 spicergear on m715 site, and i just got email that charles talbert has been using 3053a in m37 with diesel, how, i dont know. There is an adapter fromsae3to2 for sale 75$ but i have not ,looking atwww.keislerauto.com. click on big block bh& look at adapter plate bolted on the 440 bh, i think thats what it takes to put 3053a behind 360 just with 360 bh. I have 360 also needs 5od. Lakewood bh is steel&figure to bore weld drill&tap it to size, beleive w500 bh will fit with the np542 also sprouse should know he has one maybe bh too Good luck, send po box adress& will mail all junk i have copies of, please stay on it&keep me updTED, called adleans no 280vo clarks no np542, call sam winer next good hunting! what yer model truck do you have?
