#2 is an option I wish my WC-54 had. I don't loose sleep over it, but it'd be nice. I have the same carb on, (less the B4 designation) but with the original manifold and oil filler pipe.

Can you sell the carb you've got and get one with the right plumbing, or is that more trouble to you than it's worth? A "new" oil filler tube without the plumbing, isn't that expensive. Either way, you should get one of the oil filler breather caps that allow vapor to escape from the filler tube if you don't hook the plumbing up.

Is there a downdraft crankcase breather tube on the right rear of the block?

FWIW my manifold does not have the crankcase metering valve.
