Pike and San Isabel National Forests(along with their associated grasslands areas in eastern CO) are the only NF's closed entirely to all travel and activity. There are also some closures and partial restrictions in some CO State Parks in the front range region. At THIS point, in spite of the "Missionary Ridge" Fire north of Durango, the San Juan NF is still open. Fire restrictions will be in effect, but liquid fuel camping stoves (LP & white gas) are permitted. Smoking is permitted only in a vehicle. All of this is subject to change, and we will have to monitor it up to the time of the Rendezvous.
Dave, what is the status of the WY fire you mentioned in the last Forum?? Bruce
