The six volt system will be fine if you stay with the original six. I have heard that a Chrysler slant six (OHV) will bolt to the bell housing, you would have to fabricate front mounts. A small block Chrysler or Chevy fits in nicely, you would need to change the bellhousing and the new bellhousing wouldn't bolt to your trans. so you would have to remachine the bellhousing to accept your old tranny or use a newer model. THis would require a different PTO and new clutch linkage, of course. Where are you located? Really, since this is going to be such an involved project, your best choice would be to let me take the ambulance and save you the headache of fixing it up! just kidding
