I have used a gas tank re-furbishing kit on my
1941 dodge 1/2 ton. I got it from J.C. whitney.
It came as a kit, with 3 different solutions.
First, the cleaner, than the prep, than the
actual sealer. I did mine about 3-4 years ago,
and has been fine since.
The hardest part is cleaning it. You have to
somehow mix it around inside the tank . Your'e arms get pretty tired. I like Gordans suggestion
of strapping it to some machine and adding an
abrasive material like broken glass.
I would bet that using the machine would also
help in distributing the prep as well as the actual
sealer evenly and easily also.
