Why would anyone want to take a vintage vehicle like a WDX, and put a V8 in it so that they can go faster? On top of that, not even a Chrysler V8- a small block Chevy!! That should be considered a sin! The vehicles were built for a purpose--they were a workhorse, not a drag vehicle. You used them on a farm,etc! I think that people have really lost touch with what a "restored" vehicle is--a vehicle that has been crafted to be as original as possible, not modified, especially with engines from an entirely different manufacturer.
In case you are wondering, I own a 46 WDX. As for power (the listing in the web page called the old 6 "anemic"), I have drug a 72 Ford F100 SIDEWAYS with no problem. How many new trucks can you do that with, even with a V8?
