People that buy off ebay many times wait untill the last few seconds to bid hoping to get it cheaper, if they bid it up early then someone will have time to think about it more.I have had people out bid me in the last few seconds. say I bid $7000 for the truck, someone will jump in at the last second and bid $7500 and I wouldn't have time to rebid. If you really want something bad from ebay you either do it that way or bid the very maxium top dollar you would pay and hope that isn't exceeded at the last few seconds. If I bid up to $10 K the bid only shows $7K the guy bids $7500 at the last second would lose.
Sometimes if I'm in a mood I will bid up a truck on ebay just for the fun because I know someone will out bid it. If I win it Fine, I don't bid more than I would spend on it anyway.
