The hood attaches with with the upper bracket two screws and a steel plate with two tapped holes. The kicker is the screws. They have heads that are much smaller than what you can find at your local hardware store. The head is just slightly larger than the threaded area of the screw. I have tried using sever different typs of screws and they all do not skink in and lie flush with the bracket or they interfer with the upper bracket. The correct screws are difficult to find. I noticed that they are the same as the ones that attach the door striker plate that is attached to the door post. I had an extra post so I took the two screws and cut them shorter and used them on the hood. I needed one more and I finally broke down and bought one from Vintage Power Wagons. I could not find any more of the correct screw.
