This is a great show. If you like all antique
trucks, from huge Macks, to Federals, Power
Wagons, and even all kinds of Jeeps. It is
in a beautiful little town, way out in the country. Northeast Connecticut...If anyone
sees a really nice WWII O.D. open cab WC-4
with winch there, well, it is owned by Charlie Warkowski of Prospect, Ct. It used to be my truck, and I sold it to Charlie when I moved to Florida back in 88. He did
a great job restoring it. It is the way I
would have liked to have done it. A few years ago Charlie had it at Brooklyn, an I just happened to be home visiting, and went to the show. Well, I saw Charlie, and he
was nice enough to let me ride to Middletown
with him after the show, in the WC-4. It was a blast to ride in my old truck. He dropped me off in Middletown, and I hitche a ride
back to Branford, where I grew up. I wish I
brought that thing to Fla, but I chose to bring down my WC54 instead...If I had to do it over, I would have kept the wc-4 and sold the wc54...If you guys see Charlie, please tell him I was asking for him. He might even give you a ride...He also had the wc-4 at the Tobyhanna, Pa. MVPA national meet a few years back. Tell Charlie I still want to buy my old truck back, if he wants to sell it !
