Well theres 2 things going on in the internet world. The KLez virus is really causing havic everywhere. The Klez virus will take address books and send itself out to others unknown to the host computers owner. The Klez virus has many random subject lines it can use so things are different everytime and sometimes looks like a legit email. #2 SOmeone is intentionally sending out virus emails.
WHat is puzzling to me is there are subject lines now with DODGE content.
I ORIGINALLY thought SOMEONE was intentionally sending out virus infected files to people here on this board. WIth the stroke of a button you can change your email program to LOOK like it came from someone's elses email address.
BUT this is now happening on some of the other Dodge Charger forums I am on elsewhere so we either have several people intentionally sending this thing out OR the virus is intelligent and learning from people it has infected. Grabbing not only email address (Which we know it does) but also grabbing SUbject lines (Which all of us here will be related to a DODGE content).
Most of us here have our email address listed when we post. A virus can scan web sites and forums,usenet feeds and so forth and GET email address's. So where ever you go on the internet and leave your email address it is possible to have a virus catch that and add to its list. I think this MIGHT be happening with subject lines also.
I have had virus emails sent to me that appeared to have come from people on this forum. They have emailed me back saying they did not have a virus.
I have had people email me saying I sent them a virus when I did not. I have a LAN with 2 servers and 3 levels of virus protection at my house and I can guarantee you I HAVE NO VIRUS's ON MY SYSTEMS!
I know it makes people mad and is frustrating!
What we all need to do is educate and WE ALL need to have virus proection on our computers at home to stop this thing! If you are on the internet you need virus protection! And it needs to be updated everyday.
