Just back from the VPW Rally, Great time and great people! Met so many folks I've "talked" to and had a blast! Won't report on everything as I don't want to steal anyone's thunder! Suffice to say, "Good time was had by all!!" Forgot my digital camera, got some 35mm shots, but I'm sure others will post photos soon. About 86 trucks I'd heard. I drove my '48 Flat fender from Lincoln, NE, to Fairfield, about 300 miles I'm told (I don't know, I don't have an odometer/speedometer!). My little 283 V-8 powered Power Wagon ran at about 190 degrees, with nice oil pressure, around 2200-2300 rpm (about 55 mph, I'm guessing) for 8 hours. Noisey trip, but well worth it!! Then I met Lonnie in Plattsmouth, NE on the way home at a convenient store when I spotted his W-300 "Monster Ride" (he's got combine steering tires on it!) parked out front!!

Eric, I guess I'll take that regulator after all, contact me. (Once I made sure I had enough money for gas home!)
I owe Chewie a couple of T-shirts, couldn't find you before I left! Speaking of T-Shirts, I have a few left... I think. Let's see, took 200... sold about a dozen...yea, yea, I think I have some left. (!?) White, Lt Blue, tan and grey, L, XL and XXL, with the logo I posted below, "Flat Fenders Forever". And my Texas buddies DIDN'T BUY ONE OF THEM!! All married, with a dozen kids each, and not one T-Shirt to take home, even for Noel!!!!!! : )
Missed everyone that couldn't make it!!
