Let just say I love my PW, but the modern PU's just suck. I had a 1975 with a MITSUBISHI diesel....great truck but I could not find a fuel pump to fix it...went to the scrape yard in 1984. I bought a 1984 Chevy 1 ton 350 engine. put 400,000 hard miles on it and it is still running today with everything original except rebuilt the front end twice. Next I thought I would try a new Dodge again so I was one of the first to get a 1995 model model...whoa was I excited...old fashioined look, 360 engine, auto and a 4X4 to boot... till at 5234 miles the tranny went...NO reverse. so I take it to the dealership and they give me the hard ball tactic "you were BAHAing with it.....NO I just went to back it out of my driveway and CLUNK no reverse. Well after many phone calls to CORPORATE and a few to the state attorney general and 1 to my lawyer....they finally deceided to fix it under warranty....well they REBUIT it instead of just replacing with a new one....took 9 weeks to get it back...NO more Dodges so I traded it in on a 1996 Chevy 1500 WT 6 cylinder, auto. Now the Chevy has 99,000 miles om it with NO trouble and I overload it, pull a FORD 1720 tractor with a backhoe and loader...NO problem. So now I want to trailer my PW to shows and would like to take the whole family so I would like a 4 door PU model.....guess what DODGE did not even make one...this was in 1997...I bought a Chevy 3500 with the 454 engine....45,000 miles with 15,000 of fifth wheel trailer and load hanging off its ass and NO problems....
