Hi Cliff!
It would depend upon what you are going to use the truck for. The "best" all around gear offered now is probably the 3.55. The Dodge engines are powerful enough to pull that ratio and if you drive the freeways it is a good hi-way gear. If you use your truck for pulling and hauling heavy loads with some off-road and a little freeway use the 4:10 is the gear of choice. The higher the gear (lower numerically) the better the mileage when empty and without a trailer. Lower gears are great for working but the mileagae suffers. My power wagon has 4:10's with a doubler transfer case, my hi-way Dodge will have the 3:55 ratio.
