Was the window broken in a million little pieces? Because of car alarms doors are usually left alone. They use a car part on a string and get it rotating and then strike the window. Window shatters in little square pieces, little noise, no movement of the vehicle to set off alarms. This usually is the difference between someone wanting something and kids goofing off. It is aggravating in either case.
