There are repair sleeves, quite thin material, that are, themselves heated to expand them, and then you QUICKLY slide them on the cleaned seal surface, and then trim. Speedy Sleeve (sp?) is one brand name. I think the brazing business was a bad idea. I am surprised they did not know about the sleeves. We used them on truck tractors and trailers all the time to correct wheel bearing seal surfaces.
