B.T., this is the correct bed for the B3PW as long as it is a very early one. The early B3s carried over the first series "4 pocket" pickup box along with the early dash with the guages placed on either side of the speedometer, which were both used from 1946. I do not have my manuals in fromt of me, but if I remember correctly, the change to the newer dash and the 3 pocket pickup box took place at about #600 into the B3 serial number range. I have a very early B3 with these old features that I know to be correct from the parts manuals and from buying it from the original owner.

Along with changing to 3 pockets, the series two bed, which replaced the series one used at this point, had a larger diameter roll on the top of the box sides, used a different wood layout for the floor, had redesigned inner fender wells, redesigned tailgate and head panel, a different method for mounting the spare tire, and had formed stiffening ribs in the side panels. I believe the c-channels that span the frame rails and support the bed may be different also.

Clint
