Someone smarter than me may be able to tell you how to charge two 12 volt batteries with your 12 volt system, and still do the conversion to 24 volt using those same two batteries. The connection system in my boat is as follows: Batt. #1 and Batt. #2 are both 6 volt batteries. Batt. #1 negative post has a short jumper cable to positive post on Batt. #2. Positive post on Batt. #1 and negative post on Batt. #2 provide the power to a 12 volt electric motor. You would some how have to isolate 12 volts from only one of the batterie for your truck's charging and electrical system, while at the same time drawing 24 volts for the winch. It sounds easier to either have two separate batteries for the winch or go to a 12 volt winch.
