ATHS is trying to get all local chapters to work with there States in changing or making the laws better for Antique Trucks.
North Carolina is one of those bad states at present. NC doesn't allow anything over a 1/2 ton pickup to be classified as a Vintage or Antique. Some have gotten around this by lying about the weight on there titles.
You can how ever get a Transporter Tag that is used by Dealers or Collectors to transport to shows etc. These tags are not assigned to vehicles but to the owner. Then you have to go out and get different insurance for the vehicles. Several of our Big Rig owners have had problems with DMV & inspection stations here in NC.
