It depends if there was any moisture from condesation and how much rust the gears have on them. Condensation is a big killer when a trck sit for a long time.
Also the front axles may have the smaller differential in it which is not quite as stong. Early WC 53 have the smaller front diff. The later ones have the 9 5/8s which is the same as the PWs.
You made the comment the other day about these axles. The axles can be very dependable and will work with a repower very nicely. My WC 53 will do 80+ and has no vibrations and it goes straight down the road. I can take my hands off the steering will with out any problems and it just keeps going. I would suggest a set of Helitool disk brakes up front. These axles are quite servicable.
