Joe,

I do not have to deal with all the problems you have with deleting bad posts, and getting tons of stupid people trying to make trouble on your site.

So if this new format is what it takes to continue to have this place to come and share ideas, then I say go for it.

But in this formats defense, If we all ignore the nasty posts, and there are not that many of them, they do go away(thanks to your efforts I am sure).

More importantly, the other forums that have gone to the test forums format have often had problems.

If you remember the 61-71 page used to have this style format, and when they changed to the new format it became to hard to find anything, and the traffic stopped coming.

It is nice that with the other format you would most likely be able to keep the forum posts longer, giving folks time to look at things, but I find that to be a downside, because it tends to overwhelm people.

With the current format I can find anything on the current page pretty quickly, and with you making the last forum a click away, you can check on stuff you missed(like when I am out traveling). Thanks for that by the way!

If I have to dig through several layers to look at messages, or sign in all the time, I will be less likely to come here.

I had thought about adding a forum to my PG PW website, and I wanted to make mine JUST LIKE yours. Why? Because it was the most user friendly, and I have tried to make my websites as easy to follow and use as I could.

I have used many forums over the years, on many topics, and I like this style the best.

I can handle the idiots posting about $2,500 rust and dent free 57 PW TWs, and the folks who feel making nasty comments is fun.

We live in a free country, and if we change anything because of the idiots of the world, then they have WON. I enjoy the freedom of this forum, and I welcome the folks that post about doing things I would hate to see done, as it is important not to be closeminded about other poeples preferances.

I hope that you consider what I have to say in making your decision, and that other people who feel the same way let us know.

Of course I may be outnumbered in this, and therefore if more folks want the other format, I will do my best to deal with the change.

Thanks for all you do Joe!

Eric
