Aftermarket blinker wiring...

After-market blinkers... Okay, this is going to get confusing (and I've been confused for along time!); I'm going to install blinkers and I have the start of the blinker wiring from the previous owner, and found some really cool blinkers to use on the front fenders (holes previously drilled guys!). I've installed a fuse box with a hot lead from the battery, and one through the 'on' part of the ignition switch (nothing from 'acc' yet). He didn't have anything wired up, just wires running to the front and back to be wired into the after-market blinker switch that's on the steering column. Unfortunately, one item I didn't get from the previous owner was the INSTRUCTION SHEET ON HOW TO HOOK THESE UP!!

There are four blue wires soldered together in pairs coming into the cab from the firewall under the dash (I'm sure those are for right and left) a black and a green wire with two blue wires come from the switch on the steering column (green - power? black - ground? blues for right and left?) and there are two flasher units in the fuse box. WHAT DO I WIRE TO WHERE?!?! Power from the 'on' terminal to the blinker switch (green?), then the two blue wires to the flasher units, then to the lights? Or power to the flasher units, then to the blinker switch, then to the lights??? I'm thinking about ordering one of the after-market units from J.C. Whitney for $30.00, JUST TO GET THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! Anyone with experience with these after-market units, I could sure use a course in "Wiring for Dummies"! All the manuals I can find are from newer trucks and I can't read the schematics of the whole truck's wiring harness! This should be simple, but I don't want to fry anything, or have underdash fires in the future (... gee, that reminds me of an old M-880 I once had...)

Thanks guys!
Dana
