Thank you Joe & Gordon for feeding my addiction to the Flat Fender. I got hooked in the summer of '69 working on the assembly line at Dodge Main Truck Plant on Mound Rd.
The line I worked on built 400 thru 700 series trucks, mobile home chassis and the original POWER WAGON! When A Power Wagon would come down the line (5 to 10 per day) the old timers would say "here comes a good truck". That saying stuck with me and when I saw a '56 sitting behind a shop for a year or two I finally asked the owner and was soon the proud "new" owner. Parts back then were easy and cheep. Back then I never considered the long term relationship (we'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary soon!). Without the Forum and the PW Advertiser I would be in deep doodo! Oops, almost forgot Dave and Vintage Power Wagon. With this support group addiction is assured.
