I'm less than 200 miles from the Salt Flats, so I guess I'll have to make some speed trials next August during Speed Week. There are classes for flathead motors. If I buy Dave Lundstrom's Gama Goat tires and shave the tread down most of the way, that should get the 'Flying Cinder Block' up to about Mach 0.12 at less than 5000 rpm.
