If the jet is plugged it will have a lean surge- like when you run out of gas ? Try just a little bit of choke to richen it.

The coil bad will usually cause a problem under high load since that is when it runs richest and a rich mixture requires more volts to get lit off. Coil tests don't help, can you try a donor coil from another truck?

To test for a plugged muffler, unhook muffler at front, test drive (the neighbors will love this!).Try to relate the power gain, not to the "sound of raw power".
