i am in need of some expert advice. i am having a hard time in getting my m-37 to produce usable power. by usable, i mean on the road, push it up the hill power. i have had this truck, a pw and a command car for over 10 years so i am familiar with the power the trucks should produce. my truck lost power recently and i have been working to correct it. to date i have done a compression test 105 in all cylinders. i replaced all ignition parts except cap- they are not available right now. i took dist apart and cleaned, adjusted springs, weights etc. i replaced plugs, but not wires. i think i have the timing right and the carb seems to be doing its thing. i sprayed some cleaner down the throat and that did little. i replaced fuel pump with one that has new diapraghm material. when i removed the pump, the wear shoe had fallen off into the pump. i thought i had found the problem. no dice, the new fuel pump did not correct the problem. the truck seems to rev up ok its that even on the shallowest incline, i am downshifting where i never ever thought i would have to. i jacked all four disc brake equipped wheels to look for a dragger, no dice. any one who can help me will not only be my hero but will be rewarded in pw heaven. thanks for joe for the bandwith and to the pw group for taking the time to read this. mannyc
