I don't know the precise book compression rating for a 1974 360 but a difference between cylinders should be no more than 5lbs
so if your highest cylinder is 135 the other 7 should be no less than 130or more than 140.
Engines are relatively simple machines. While it only requires fuel, spark, and compression to run, there must be enough compression, metered fuel, and timed spark.
135 per cyl.sounds about right
