1954 Dodge M37 $3,000

The 1954 M37 I have for sale has spent most of it's life since the military
on Renton airport as a service vehicle for a Fixed Base Operator. As such, it
was inside the service hangar a lot when not in use. There is very little
rust, and only in the winshield frames. One running board is bent a little but
could be straightened easily. The tailgate shows evidence of having been
straightened but it works well. The hardtop is fiberglass and I believe was
built for the outfit that bought these trucks surplus in lots somewhere in
North Seattle. The paint is the third coat, well bonded to the second coat.
There are some small areas on the hood that have peeled off to the original
OD paint but even so the truck looks pretty sharp. The camo paint is not authentic.

The engine runs good but smokes a little and burns a little oil. The drive
train appears to work as it should. It could use a brake job and I have a
lot of the parts required. It also needs some outer ball seals, but I have
those also.

The electrical has been changed to 12 volts for the ignition system only.
Some of the wiring is getting a little tired.

It is located on Stuart Island in the San Juans, in Washington State.
I no longer have much use for it since the building projects are almost done and it needs a good home. I will
arrange to barge it to Roche Harbor for the purchaser where he can take it away on the Ferry.
