We're in Woodland Park about 30 miles south-southeast of that Snaking Fire around Bailey. From the high points on the ridges around our place we can see the smoke. Due to the wind direction, we can't smell it yet and appear to be out of harms way. You get a vulnerable and helpless feeling watching those forces at work in a world in which we're used to having control of things going on around us. Last week there was a 250 acre blaze less than 10 miles due west that started from a blown branch hitting a power line. It's a tinder box out here and that fire is too close for comfort for both Fletch & Dan-in-CO. take care, Bruce
