oil at rockers, no oil in pushrods

This applies to LA motors, not valid for new 'magnum' motors.
The rockers oil through a timed port on the fourth camshaft bearing. There is a hole in the bearing connected to a passageway coming up to the head on each side. The oil will only get to the head/rockers, when the passage is lined up so the oil feed to the bearing and the hole/passage to the head are "connected". Turn the motor over slowly while preoiling and you should get to a point where oil comes up. If you remove the rocker shaft you should be able to see the feed hole in the head on the fourth rocker stand (from front). The orientation of the shaft is very important, they can be installed wrong so that the rockers won't oil.
