The speedi-sleeves are around $20-25 each. They are stainless steel and wear really well. I would never use JB Weld on a wearing surface unless you want lots of practive doing things over. If a leather seal will wear away steel, just think how fast JB Weld will get worn away. Do it once, do it right. Here's a tip: You should mix some epoxy and fill the groove(s) just before installing the sleeve. If you don't, the seal will groove the new sleeve! (Be sure to install a new seal when you sleeve.)
