Howdy all. I've posted here before, but not often! Am more a Jeep guy(but not the little Jeeps...the Full Size ones!). Anyway....now that the snow's melted, got over to look at this 3/4ton crew cab again, and was wondering if anyone can help a little with the front axle ID. From the research I've done so far, it would either be a D44 or D60 front end. Definitely a D60 rear end on this.

In the lower right side of the diff housing, where there is a stamped notation, it reads as follows(best I could decipher):
4 - 3 E F
2

And, the shaft housing is only "slightly" smaller in diameter(only had a string to measure with), so the housing's are quite close in size.

Does this lean either way, toward being a D44 or D60? Thought I'd ask you Dodge fellas as you know these rigs better. BTW....yes, this is for a J10(jeep pickup) project, but this 3/4ton Dodge is REALLY badly shot bodywise, and not worth salvaging. Drivetrain is supposedly good though. I did take some pics today, and will try to get some ready later if anyone needs to know anymore about this.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Michael
