My favorite year is the 1948 B1PW. The main reason is because it is the truck that my Dad bought new in 1948. I learned to drive in this truck (who needs syncromesh transmissions anyhow?) and my Dad taught me a lot about mechanics working on it. I must have read the owners manual 100 times by age sixteen. I got to crawl under it with the grease gun at 14 years of age and lube all the fittings. I learned to love the smell of SAE 90 gear oil. All these and many more memories that would take weeks to tell about plus 2nd motion to the mechanical features that Clint mentioned in his post about the '47 WDX, of which most apply to the '48 as well.
