The restored green '48 Power Wagon is one that I retrieved from Patrick Draw, Wyoming (East of Rock Springs) about 4 years ago for Steve Wataha. I pulled my flatbed trailer from Green River to Patrick Draw with my '49 Power Wagon and then used the '49 Power Wagon winch to pull the '48 onto the trailer. I then made the run back to Rock Springs to drop the '48 Power Wagon off at Steve Wataha's shop. He restored the '48 that winter and sold it to Curtis Meade. Curtis also bought Steve's restored '51 Power Wagon (red and black with original express box). Curtis shipped another Power Wagon (I believe it's a '57) to Steve for restoration, which is nearly finished now. Of course, I also now have one of Steve's restored Power Wagons. Steve is starting a restoration on my old '49 Power Wagon that he took on trade for the restored '49. He does the best work you will ever see on the old Power Wagons. He still has another restored '48 Power Wagon that came from Evanston, Wyoming that is his own daily driver. I plan to make a trip to Rock Springs this weekend to see Steve, so e-mail me if you have messages, etc.
