I suspect you've probably got a 203 full time transfer case and full time "hubs", flanges really.
Don't know much about the military stuff, but the civi trucks need a different front axle as I don't think the 3/4+ stuff has a conversion kit available. 1/2 tons can use a MileMarker kit to convert to part time hubs with manual locking/unlocking.
The 203 transfer case can be done with a cheap kit that locks up the differential in the tc. I replaces the spiders with square gears that cannot rotate. Or a more expensive route is to replace a shaft in the tc. I don't know much about that.
