I just bought a parts tranny (out of a late 60s Dodge D-300) which had a pto. There was no engine and the pilot shaft as well as the bearing retainer was missing, no problem the PTO should be worth the $25 I paid for it.
The door post said NP435 but while looking up the Spicer PTO #s, I could not find that pto with those #s matching a NP435. The shift tower is alum. with the NP cast in as well as 68 cast below that. The casting #s on the tranny is C-97247-
2
The PTO # is ACNL7 14
B74 made by spicer. The only NP application with those #s is for a NP420 but it doesn't look like a NP420. The book calls for that application as a T-98 tranny but remember it had NP cast on the shift tower.
Can anyone shed some light on this PTO or tranny ?
