Once you make sure it's the water pump, you have both choices....replace or rebuild. When mine misbehaved it had a low pitch grinding sound, but it was easy to audibly locate. Bearings were completely shot. I bought a new pump from VPW and now want to rebuild the old one as a backup.
Can anyone help me and Mr. Gilly here with a source for a rebuild kit?
