The idea of zero rust or other converter on the metal and topped off with fiberglass is one I've thought about myself, I'm glad to hear it works well.
I'd like to suggest a modified rear cab support that allows the cab to pivot instead of flexing as the frame twist and flexs, which should greatly reduce the long term stress on the fiberglass as well as other cab points that tend to flex and(or) crack.
This pivoting rear cab support was featured in a past edition of the Power Wagon Advertiser some years back, I'm sure a copy of this article with pics could be had.
