Can someone suggest which manual is best for engine removal, etc. for my 1953 B3 flat fender? Who is selling maintenance manuals lately? I was driving along I5 after delivering a drill press and table saw to my brother when at 1:00 AM the engine went from 2600 rpm to 0 rpm in a few seconds. There are holes in the engine! There are no valves, intake or exhaust, for cylinders #1 and #2. Instead, I found pieces of piston under the valve cover. Got 29,000 miles, so not too bad for a 230 flathead. Only trouble, now I'm a couple thousand dollars or so away from driving it again.
