Brake lubricant is a (very) high temperature grease, for the express purpose of lubricating brake mechanisms. It was more commonly seen in the all-drum era. Often white in color, and labeled Brake Lubricant.

Try your local NAPA store, or other trade-oriented auto parts house. By trade oriented, I mean that there seems to be a lot of auto parts stores popping up anymore that are mostly suited to those folks who are only capable of changing oil and waxing their car. No real serious sales of hard parts go on there, typically.

It should be high temp grease so the temperatures found within the drum assembly don't cause it to liquify and run off.
