There are an incredibile number of modified cars and trucks out there you are right , I dare you to find any that has the frame cut into(and not welded solid together). It goes against the policy of every dmv in north america nad therefore against the respective policy makers of each state or province. You have to keep in mind that things have changed a lot in 50 years what was accepted then certanly would not be now. You could not produce a car without obd II in this day and age and you think a swivel would pass.If the DMV would not allow it ( inspection ) liability and the rest of this discussion would not really matter.
