I am in the process of rebuilding a badly beaten LU-2 as well. The shear pin was gone when I bought the truck. Penetrating oil was not going to do the trick, I had been shooting it on for 6 months, delaying the inevitable. I used a large puller, a lot of heat, and two prybars, strapping the winch to the bench. 1.5 hours later the yoke was off the shaft. Be patient. Good luck.
