You have a problem with the filler pipe, it should be sealed with the cap. Do you have a gasket under the cap? Also on the opposite side, do you have the pipe that exits the engine left of the rear valve cover? Once you get engine ventilation correct, you will eliminate the smell. You can add a can of engine restore until you can freshen the engine.
