Question for the weldors out there

I got a super deal on a Lincoln (MIG) Weld-Pak 100. I intend to set it up with argon mix. I know it is a little on the light duty side. I intend to use it for Power Wagon sheetmetal repair, cabs, fenders, some thinner stuff too.
Is it best to use a 225 amp ac/dc stick welder(which is my plan)on structural stuff like frame repairs and heavier metal? If a mig is better for structural, maybe I should abandon this small one and get a bigger one that can do it all.
Or, is TIG that much better than MIG to justify the extra expense?
Any help appreciated.
